Welcome to my Soundawesome website!
DIFFAITH (the "ai" being pronounced as in "bike") is Welsh for wilderness / desert & a variety of other things. I think it's nice... Part of me is a traveller. At the moment I feel like I'm living in at least two different countries. Borders are man-made. Creativity should be limitless. Multimedia projects I took part in included the soundtrack for the internationally acclaimed documentary on human rights in Tibet, "Die Roten Drachen und das Dach der Welt" (Germany, 2007 - "The Red Dragons and the Top of the World), as well as co-writing & playing (with MrT) the live soundtrack for one of the productions of Bristol based theatre / circus troupe, The Invisible Circus, "Judgement Day". www.dierotendrachenunddasdachderwelt.de. Apart from my solo music I play digital piano & synth with YAKAMOZ. We create soundtracks for films yet to be made (or found), designing our own brand of post-modern electric jazz & ambient soundscapes. This band features Luke Blake on guitar & fx. Be sure to check Luke's website for his amazing solo sounds (myspace.com/lukeblakemusic). This is actually one of the nicest projects I've ever been in. I'm really happy to be able to play this music. Some of it can be heard on our websites yakamoz.soundawesome.com myspace.com/yakamozbristol. From 2007 to 2009 I played with UK dance / dub outfit, AKAHUM, as keyboard player & percussionist. I gladly remember many energetic gigs & festivals in the UK, Germany, Belgium & the Netherlands, sharing stages with the likes of The Orb, Banco de Gaia, Zubzub, Dreadzone among others. Check the Akahum myspace & official website for those cool spacey sounds with a very yummy flavour! www.akahum.com. I'm also delighted to feature on some of Bristol based Mark Dub's Podcast Mixes, as well as live gigs with the DUB REVOLUTION collective, playing melodica, keyboards & percussion. www.dubrevolution.co.uk I enjoy being involved in collaborations with other forms of art as well, & of course I'm always curious about new horizons.
